Medha's MEP system is a 32 bit, high performance microprocessor based modular system that provides complete traction and propulsion control of the locomotive with continuous monitoring and extensive fault diagnostics.
Electronic Governor
Electronic Governor is a maintenance free alternative to the mechanical Governors popularly used for this application. The Governor consists of a Control Unit mounted in the Driver cab, and an Actuator Unit mounted on the Engine. The Actuator Unit can be mounted exactly on the same Engine base as mechanical Governors.
Battery Electric Locomotive
Medha offers conversion kit and turn-key solutions to convert non-compliant diesel locomotive to a
100% battery operated locomotive. Any locomotive, 4-axle or 6-axle will be made zero-emission (ZE)
compliant.
Converted battery-electric locomotive (BEL) will have same or similar horse-power and load haulage
capacity as diesel locomotive.
